NIH Precision Medicine Initiative

On January 20, 2015, President Obama announced, in his State of the Union Address, the launching of the Precision Medicine Initiative. Dr. Regina Smith James, who represents NIMHD for the NIH Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) and is the co-chair for the Community Engagement/Health Disparities NIH PMI Working Group, will provide an overview of the Precision Medicine Initiative, its short and long term goals, and precision medicine activities.
