Preparing to Learn Python for Data Science

This webinar, taking place on August 19 from 2:00–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Python programming for data science. This hands-on session will provide a practical foundation in Python and demonstrate how these core programming concepts can be applied to data analysis and research workflows. Participate to prepare for next month’s Think-a-Thon on Python Libraries.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of Python programming and its role in data science
  • Become familiar with basic programming concepts, including variables and common data types
  • Write and use basic Python syntax and functions
  • Perform simple operations and manipulate data using Python
  • Develop the foundational skills needed to begin working with Python for data analysis
