NIMHD’s training and workforce development activities support minority health and health disparities research scientists from early career to mid-career investigators.

  • Extramural

    At universities and other institutions nationwide, NIMHD funds mentoring and career development programs to support the next generation of researchers studying minority health and health disparities.

  • Rwandan Health Program  

    Rwandan Health Fellows are physicians from Rwanda who spend 1 year at the NIH and return home as clinician scientists to conduct research and help improve the health of Rwandan people.
