Weill Cornell Medical College Dr. Martin Shapiro, Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, is a general internist who has practiced both inpatient and outpatient general internal medicine. He is also a health services researcher who has studied accessibility of care and health disparities, scientific misconduct, pharmaceutical advertising, and scientific authorship, among other topics.Dr. Shapiro is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians and a past president of the Society of General Internal Medicine. He enjoys mentoring students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty members. His additional roles at Weill Cornell include associate director of the T32 program in primary care research and exploratory adviser in their medical student research program.
