Nathaniel Davis, M.B.A.
Mr. Nathaniel Davis serves as the NIMHD budget officer and leads the Financial Management Branch. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day management of the Institute’s financial resources, leads the development of short- and long-term spending projections and financial operating plans, and serves as the primary advisor to the Institute’s leadership and staff for all financial and budget related issues.
Mr. Davis joined NIMHD in July 2018 after serving in a variety of budget and financial management positions at NIH and with the Department of the Army. Most recently, he served as a budget analyst in the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, with focus on the Institute’s more than $2.5 billion extramural research portfolio.
A Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and Project Management Professional (PMP), Mr. Davis earned his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Norwich University.
