Dr. Patrice Armstrong is a scientific communications editor for the Office of Science Policy, Strategic Planning, Analysis, Reporting and Data. She collaborates on and develops strategic plans, including creating short- and long-term goals to advance minority health and health disparities research. Dr. Armstrong also develops and evaluates reports and communication materials pertaining to minority health and health disparities research. Her work includes assessing and fostering science policy research that is relevant and beneficial to minority and health disparity populations.

Prior to coming to NIMHD, Dr. Armstrong was a senior nutrition scientist for the Danone Research Center located in France. Her research interests include minority health and health disparities, nutrition, public health, and global health.

Dr. Armstrong earned her Ph.D. in nutritional biology from the University of California, Davis. She also has an M.P.H. in environmental health science from Columbia University and a B.S. in biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
